Stepping Stones Nursery has a beautiful private 5 acre woodland adjacent to the main building. The woodland embraces the outdoors as a learning environment. Our children explore and experience the natural world on a regular basis and a woodland environment is a unique way of building confidence and self esteem. It also gives the children the chance to learn new life skills and promote independence, through hands on learning experiences.

All of our rooms can access the woods and although it can give the older children lots of wonderful learning experience, we feel that our woodland area can offer our babies a stimulating and sensory filled environment. Many of our baby children enjoy looking up at the trees and exploring the different types of textures you often find in woodland areas.
